There is something incredibly raw and potent about a womsn gaping her cunt. I am sure you know of the Sheela na Gigs, architectural embellishments found on ancient churches and castles in Ireland and Great Britain. There are 1,000 Sheelas in Ireland alone, a remarkable number given that many were probablt lost in the last 2 centuries thanks to repressive sexual thinking by clergy. These figures were thought to be obscene. Indeed I wonder if the Renaissance in Europe with its associations with Church patronage, brought about a new era in art jn which legs were kepr together, fig leaves covered genitalia, and the depiction of the sexual parts came to be seen as crude. Interwsting that Islam took this further, banning depiction of the human form. A denial of our humanity. Thankfully Sheela na gigs are now being seen as glorification of woman and fertility, which after all, is life.
